Appeal to First and Second Year Engineering Students!! Are You Missing Anything in Your Education? Are You Happy with Your Theoretical Outcomes without Any Practical Application? Read this Interesting Recent Batch Vs. Old Batches Student’s Point of View!

Dear First and Second Year Students

I am writing this letter to you with a lot of concern and anguish. Please don’t mind and think me wrong. In recent times when we interviewed a large set of students, when we asked for the 5-year goal, almost all of them mentioned, including students from the core branches to become a software engineer. This is great. Having some goal is better than no goal at all. I can understand as I also worked in Software Industry for 14 years.

Having said that, we should have a mix of students (80% for regular jobs, 10% for higher education, 5% for competitive examinations, another 5% for entrepreneurship). This would be an ideal mix and helps society to grow organically. However, if you see the recent counseling process, it goes like 90% for Software, and the rest 10% got totally scattered!! This is not healthy composition for the Country’s Long-term growth.

If a student is a risk-taker, he/she should be given chance to start his/her own start-up. If a student is having leadership traits, he or she should be given chance to do MBA and take leadership roles. If a student is having a research quotient, he/she should be given chance to spend in research. However, the current pyramid is FLAT with only software aspiration. This is not sustainable!!

In 2015, I was mentoring a team. The team’s ambition was to develop an Ambulance on Fly. Initially, they developed an Aeromodelling! We all practically witnessed the prototype construction and testing. I don’t know whether Right Brothers really felt the joy or not, but when we all enjoyed it when I used to sit with this team, I felt like standing next to Right Brothers. Ram Chandra, Mazhar Hussain, Mahesh, Harish, Ram Satya Rao of ECE students made this prototype during 2015!! Please watch the following YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/dJhm9Ugva5Y . This is actually Joy. Of course, now all the team members settled in Jobs and working for Higher Education, but that construction experience and confidence is going to be a permanent experience.

You all got EAMCET ranks. Your branch is finalized. Hence, no more theoretical competition in your career. At least from now, you can start thinking creatively, and contribute towards innovation. In the process, you can finalize your goal after few experiments (Job or Higher Education or Entrepreneurship or Research). Hope you appreciate this viewpoint!!

Best wishes for your new journey. Hoping to talk to a few interested students in Innovation or Entrepreneurship or for any kind of career mentorship. Reach me on any social handles!!

Vaccine Research, Lack of Freezers, Dry Ice, Olympics, Production Ramp-up Capacity, Different Vaccines Vs. Different Temperature Storage, Manufacturer Vs. Reseller, Frontline Workers Pre & Post Vaccination Training!! Look at different Chains to make 7 billion Population Vaccinated! It is going to be World’s Largest Supply Chain Case Study! Read this Perspective!!

Dear Friends and Students

Last Year, front-line workers, police personnel, and government officers were working day-and-night to arrest the Covid Spread! In the latter part of the year, bio-scientists across the world devoted their time to make the Vaccine. Today freezer manufactures are working round the clock to supply freezers/containers to meet the time-bound demand.

A couple of months back, all countries were busy making Research, Trails and Finally Production! While we were reeling on this, the next issue that came up is for Freezers! Why they are so important? The storage of the Vaccine depends on the temperature they need to be kept to retain its potency.

Pfizer BioNtech’s Vaccine has to be kept between -60c to -90c. Many countries do not have cold storage capacities at this temperature. Moderna has to be kept at -20c. They are also allowed between +2 to +8! India did Polio Vaccination at -20 c. Sputnik has to be kept at -10c. AstraZeneca, Covishield, and Covaxin are to be kept between+2 +8.

Freezer production in multiple temperature conditions is the biggest challenge now. Kanou Reiki, a Japanese freezer seller is working hard to meet the capacity. The current capacity is at 20 units a day. “Customers will have to wait at least until April if they place orders now”: Now you can imagine the hurdles for vaccination.

India is planning 29,000 cold chain points, 240 walk-in coolers, 70 walk-in freezers, 45,000 ice-lined refrigerators, 41,000 deep freezers, and 300 solar refrigerators for the COVID-19 vaccine storage (weather.com)

Nobody made a billion doses so far. Nobody transported in such temperature-dependent containers and conditions! Companies are learning. Governments are Investing. Production is not about some chemical processes. In this case, Production depends on a biological ingredient. This thinking is critical for smooth operation.

On top of this, Japan has kept a target to vaccinate all medical staff before July 23, the day Olympics starts!! The devastating Japanese economy rose quickly from the ashes of World War II. Japan proved it multiple times so as this time.

The lesson for the critics is to understand this inter-linked supply chain process before making a few lose comments on the Vaccine production process!

Work from Home (WFH)! Family Relations, Ancillary Business, Team Work, Data Security, Moral & Physiological Support! Is WFH Sustainable? Worth it? Is it a Futuristic Model? Read this Perspective!!

 Dear Friends and Students

Yesterday when we visited Vizag Beach Park, I could see many non-AP registration cars (KA, DL, TN, UP, etc). When we go deep into the inquiry, these people are from other states, moved to their hometowns, working from home! Few of the bachelors vacated their flats in their respective working locations, kept the luggage in the luggage lockers, and shifted to their hometowns!

What is needed for WFH from an IT context? They need one laptop with good RAM, storage, processor and install one of the following or similar remote login software in their system (e.g. ISL Light Remote Desktop, Zoho Assist, ManageEngine Remote Access Plus, RemotePC, LogMeIn, GoToMyPC, DameWare Remote Support, Remote Desktop Manager, etc). They will log in to client machines and work on the respective applications. Thanks to good connectivity and attractive packages, they can seamlessly work and meet client on-time deliverables. As we have great chat facilities, teams are discussing managing their day to day operations.

Look at it from the company side. Companies are also happy with the setup because operating margins are improving. For e.g. as per novelcoworking.com, virtual space costs $59 to $100 in the US, Co-working space $100 to $250, Office building $300 to $500. I am sure the similar pricing comparison holds good in the Indian context. This is all a positive story!! Great!! However, look at the other side of the coin.

It is shocking! 3-fold increase in new divorce enquires after Janata curfew! Vizag witnessed a huge spike in New divorce inquiries which is 30% to 40%!! Mumbai witnessed the highest number of divorce cases during lockdown (www.newindianexpress.com). It got 1280 cases per month to 3480 per month!!! It is almost 3 times. These cases are more in Urban Tier-1 cities due to economic independence.

It is not one location issue. It is a global issue. “Coronavirus impact: Divorce rate spikes in China after couples spend more time together at home”: One district office received 14 requests in one day (www.indiatvnews.com). They attributed this issue to work from home and the pressure of household work!

From an employment side, we need to remember, 1 IT job has the potential to create 5 other jobs(www.epi.org). 1 construction job provides 3 more supplier+induced jobs. 1 durable manufacturing job provides 7 more other jobs. 1 utility job has potential up to 9, Edu services (1:2), Entertainment (1:3.7), Real-estate (1:8), etc. Now, in the context of WFH, how does this impact?

Customer data is highly confidential. Cybersecurity becomes a big nuisance to both organizations and employees. When these employees working outside firewalls and in-home setting, how can we ensure data safety? Data breach is not always cyber-attacks, right? See this scenario. I am working on my laptop. My friend came home. He works for my company’s competitor. I opened my screen, my code, my sensitive business proposal and attended other chores! Can you gauge this IP theft that cannot be reported and non-traceable!! See this case, I am working on my project. My 15 years old son grabbed my laptop and fiddled it during my absence. How much damage it is going to be?

Beyond all this, man is a social animal. Working in teams’ boosts employee morale and motivation esp. in work locations. Teamwork encourages healthy risks!! Yes, it is true. It relieves the stress. It is the most important fuel for creativity and idea generation. It helps in better project planning and common time zone working. Teamwork makes you happy. Companies get a real competitive advantage. when 2 employees were working side-by-side, it improves the productivity, provided recognition from other team members! It improves the communication skills!

These are my personal views! However, I am convinced that we should start working from the office!! WFO is better than WFH!!

Do you agree?

Proud Moment to Indian Software Industry: TCS overtakes Accenture as the most-valued IT Services firm globally! 10th Position in 2013, in 8 years, reached 1st position. Started on 1 April 1968 by Tata Sons, J. R. D. Tata with F.C Kohli as First CEO, to No 1 Globally! Incredible Journey from Tata Computer Systems to Tata Consulting Services! CSE Students, Read this perspective, useful for your career!!

Dear Friends and Students

Nostalgic Moment. As of Monday 25th Jan 2021, TCS Market Capitalization or valuation stood at $169.25 billion (₹12,34,609.62 crore) surpassing Accenture’s m-cap ($168.68 billion)!! As of yesterday, the top 10 global IT Services companies as per m-cap (TCS, Accenture, SAP, IBM, Infosys, Cognizant, HCL, Wipro, Capgemini, EPAM Systems).

It is 53 years journey as of April 1st, 2021.

The first few contracts were

1.      Punched Card Services to sister company TISCO (Tata Steel)

2.      Inter-Branch Reconciliation System for the Central Bank of India

3.      Bureau services to Unit Trust of India.

The other contracts are electronic depository and trading system (Swiss company), the First dedicated software research and development center, the Tata Research Development and Design Centre in Pune (1980), India's first client-dedicated offshore development center, for Tandem (1981), Factory model for Y2K conversion (before 2000), Public listing in 2004, SME Market (2011), Made 17+ acquisitions, the latest acquisition being Postbank Systems,2020 November, Germany.

Though it is known for its services, it has also developed market flourished products like TCS BaNCS, TCS Ion, TCS MasterCraft, etc.

TCS has 285 offices across 46 countries, 147 delivery centers in 21 countries, and had a total of 58 subsidiary companies. It has a total of 4,69,261 employees representing 147 nationalities, across 46 countries as of 31-Dec-2020. It is one of the largest employers of women with 36.4% women employees.

Dear IoT, AI-ML, & Cloud Computing / All CSE Family Students

TCS is making a strategic beginning in the area of IoT (Internet of Things). IoT is shifting from PoC (Proof of Concept) to Operational necessity. By the end of 2020, Gartner projects there are 5.8 billion IoT endpoints in use. That represents a 21% increase from 2019 (and that figure was a 21.5% jump over 2018). If we expect a similar projection for 10 years, you can imagine the potential of this domain (www.tcs.com).

Today sensors are embedded with factories, vehicles, retail stores, bulldozers, electric-toothbrushes, and so on. Cloud-Computing, IoT devices, data analytics and AI together going to bring a new set of business opportunities.

For e.g. Shipbuilder Damen developed connected vessels with 10,000 IoT sensors, collecting fuel consumption, engine performance, and operations efficiency. Now you can imagine how much Data Analytics play a role?

Ericson developed a smart factory connecting hundreds of screwdrivers with IoT sensors.

Warehouse robots equipped with sensors and AI avoid collisions and doing job with more efficiency

Telehealth: The Stanford Children’s Health Hospital is having 620 digital visits per day through its telehealth interface. Insurance is connected and automated with this facility. It provides early warning signals of disease symptoms.

Now you can imagine, how computer science is connected!! Today Engineering education is narrowly divided: CSE, CSE-AI-ML, CSE-DS, IT, CSE-IOT, CSE Cybersecurity, CSE-Business Systems, CSE-Block chain, CST, IT, AI-DS, etc. However, in the reality, all these horizontal skills are tightly interlinked and inter-disciplined.

Students Think Big. Don’t worry about your narrow domain. The world is integrated so as the CSE family!!

Today International Day of Education! Kudos to all Teachers, Especially to the Teacher as Storyteller! The Arrival of EduTech Companies & YouTube Channels, Storytelling is the “Only Differentiator & Savior Pedagogy” for a Teacher! The day is Near, Physical Classroom Teaching is Only Meant for Storytelling as Rest is already Available in Virtual Classroom! Read this Interesting Perspective of “StoEduTainment”!!

Dear Teachers, Friends, and Students

Today Jan 24th is declared as International Day of Education. It is dedicated to the cause of education. In spite of pandemic lockdown, many teachers across the world ensured continuity in education. Historically, academic education is taught under school roofs by a physical teacher. Last 10 years, Technology in Education has disrupted the way education is taught. Pandemic has catalyzed further.

Today, we have following platforms which teacher has been performing in a physical classroom for ages.

  • Online Tutoring with Best Digital Animation and User Experience: E.g. Byjus, Chegg, Khan Academy
  • Anywhere, Anytime Live Classes. E.g. Unacademy
  • Digital library of relevant, trustworthy nonfiction readings. E.g. newsela
  • Teacher Resources (worksheets, lesson plans, and other educational resources). E.g. TEACHERS PAY TEACHERS, Seesaw
  • Measuring school climate, teacher engagement, student satisfaction. E.g. PANORAMA EDUCATION
  • Online courses: GUILD EDUCATION gives 80 universities connect, Coursera offers classes from more than 150 top universities, SIMPLILEARN: million people accessing across 150 countries
  • English-language courses: e.g. Voxy, 30 Languages: DUOLINGO
  • Adaptive learning: e.g.KNEWTON
  • Academic Knowledge Search Engine: WOLFRAMALPHA, similar to a search engine like Google
  • Quiz: e.g. KAHOOT (micro-quiz-shows), Quizlet
  • Discussion Board: e.g.Flipgrid

In terms of Communication, one of my childhood classmates & close friend Chakrapani Appalabattula, started Bloomz (US-based EduTech company, bloomz.net). It is a FREE app that is transforming teacher-parent, school-parent, and parent-parent communication in today's social and mobile world. Check us at. Similarly, Remind app is also working towards school-parent communication

In summary, edutech companies have already provided uninterrupted content and protector assessment, which the teacher is doing unilaterally! Now, how can Teacher be a differentiator? The only and critical HAT untouched is Storytelling & Storyteller!!

There is no substitute for physical classroom teaching and powerful storytelling method.

Teacher as a Storyteller & Storytelling Method

  1. Invokes Positive Emotions of the Student & touches the human instinct.
  2. Creates Immersive Experience
  3. Inspires Students to take action
  4. Makes the presentation more memorable
  5. Becomes a powerful communication tool
  6. Builds value, belief, and culture
  7. Makes purpose to the human life

Essentially, Storytelling in Education becomes StoEduTainment: Story + Education + Entertainment

Dear Teacher

  1. Your New Role is Storyteller.
  2. Your New Pedagogy is Storytelling
  3. Your New Philosophy is Storycreating

Convinced? Explore Your Next Story! Experiment in your next Classroom Session! Experience the Change!!!

Nemital: A Brand Towards Sustainable Footwear (Handcrafted Footwear) using Scrap Truck Tyres (Non-Biodegradable)! Pooja Apte-Badamikar’s BlinkGreen is Towards Upcycling! “NEMI” means Chakra / Tyre & “TAL” means Sole in Sanskrit.: NEMITAL means TyreSole. Read this Interesting Journey of Footwear Startup!

Dear Friends and Students

India generates one million tonnes of scrap tyre every year. Used / Scrap Tyres are not suitable to reuse on our roads! Burning (pyrolysis) to get cheap fuels and oils is not advisable and hazardous, keeping environmental pollution standards. Tyre is a non-biodegradable product. Hence, Recycling is not a great option! Then, What’s Next? Upcycled!!! Designer and Custom Built Footwear!!!

Uncycled means (of discarded objects or material) reusing in such a way to create a product of higher quality or value than the original.

Puja Apte (BTech ECE from Savitribai Phule Pune University & Advanced Post Graduate Diploma, Renewable Energy & Ex-Capgemini Software Employee) got an amazing idea to Upcycle the Scrap Tyres!! Started a start-up named BlinkGreen and selling Footwear under the brand of Nemital. This idea does not involve any chemical process and directly delivers Chappals from tyres!!

Puja won a 50,000 cash award for her prototype in 2018 (Startup India Competition). Keeping this as a seed fund, started a formal business last year (2019). She could able to sell more than 1000 pairs from 400 Kg Tyres in 1.5 years. I was reviewing her website (nemital.com/collections/new-arrivals). Most of the brands are between 500 to 1000 rupees. I liked its return policy: If the footwear does not fit you comfortably and you wish to exchange it, we will be happy to exchange it.

I really appreciate how business-to-consumer (B2C) is shaping in India. I liked the way how to measure our foot video (nemital.com/pages/size-chart) and size chart. This company explained the process in detail to reduce the returns and misfit issues!

It is a coincidence, today morning my daughter complained to me that I am not giving her enough support in her tailoring project. Of course, I am not competent in that domain as well except dropping her to classes!! Maybe after reading Nemital model, Puja Apte’s Software Engineering Career in Capgemini, and now her journey with Blink Green, these creative paths could be good alternatives to mainstream jobs!! Why Not!

I need to correct myself first before preaching to others!! True, I agree!! Charity should begin from Home!!!!!

Planet’s Oldest Plant Cycad (Not Seen in Last 60 Million Years) Is Reviving Again! Cycad Poaching Is Much Dangerous Than Rhino poaching in South Africa! Sometimes Climate Change Also Makes Positive Development! Can We Witness More Surprises in the Future? Read this perspective!

Dear Friends and Students

Thanks to Climate Change, Few Parts of the world are witnessing positive changes! Cynad, an ancient plant from the UK, which is not seen for more than 60 million years, is emerging in the UK. It is all because the planet getting hotter. Interesting Right Phenomenon Right? These rare plants are contemporary or much older than Dinosaurs. The UK is working towards transferring the pollen and generate seeds for long term development.

South Africa is fighting with Rhino and Elephant Poaching. Now Cycad poaching has become a bigger menace, leading to a biodiversity crisis.

Cycad is the oldest living seed plant on the planet, with a lineage going back to 340 million years! There are only 347 cycad species left as of today. These plants have big commercial value due to their rarity and attractiveness. They are important for our scientific research. It is priced at almost 8000+ rupees per centimeter.

It is our responsibility to protect these species. There are 5 of the worlds’ rarest and most endangered plants: Cycad, Corpse plant, the Jellyfish tree, Pitcher plant, and Western Underground Orchid.

I have an interesting question for you! If Cycad is back and growing in the current conditions, can we expect Dinosaurs back in the future? The question looks silly but Think Deep in this perspective? After a few million years, are we going to extinct and invite Dinosaurs again? Is it possible? Climate Change has to answer! We cannot negate any condition.

While God has given us the great opportunity to live in the current form & conditions, let us all be a responsible human being. Let’s us all protect our flora and fauna. Let’s all respect nature and animals. Time might come, we become rare species if we continue with the same attitude and irresponsibility. We cannot show our supremacy against nature as God has gifted us a beautiful brain.

Let’s all take an oath that we use our brains for common good! It should be Win-Win but not Win-Lose.

Be a Responsible Human Being!!

The World’s Largest Vaccination Program: India Plans to Vaccinate Population Size of US (20% of 1.4 billion population)! Developed Strong System in spite of 900 million citizens without regular access to the Internet! How It is Possible? Amazing Business Case Study to Read & Appreciate!!

Dear Friends and Students

We have 270 million people ready for Immediate Vaccine (10 million health care workers, 20 million frontline workers like police and sanitation staff, people over 50, and people under 50 with co-morbidities—diabetes, heart disease, and other risks)

Govt. developed a digital platform called Co-WIN to track vaccine stocks, storage information, and beneficiary information. How it is possible to connect so many people to this Digital platform when 900 million do not have proper internet access? But, we did it in the past and we are doing it again! Don’t underestimate the power of the world’s biggest human network - 3 lakh postmen, 1.55 lakh post offices, and 8 lakh bank mitras. Govt. can leverage this huge network! We can reach every nook and corner through this amazing human network! Every postman has the access to a smartphone. Then why not it is possible? On top of this, we have 40% smartphone penetration in India. It means 55 crores of people need access to the Co-WIN platform as they are either poor or cannot afford access! Postmen network can come for the rescue.

India has a proven record- India's universal immunization program is the world’s largest! We vaccinate 26.5 million infants per year and tetanus shots for 29 million pregnant women. In the 1960s, approx 60% of the world's smallpox cases were reported in India- By May 1975, we declared smallpox free! You know what as per Fortune.com, 133,000 health workers visited 100 million households across 2,641 cities, 5 lakh villages, isolated smallpox patients, and vaccinated! We became polio-free in 2014!

This reminds me a proposal that I sent to India Post in the Year 2016. Title of the Proposal: “India Post Wishes-Connecting Billion Hearts”

The theme of the Proposal: In a Year, we need to send Birthday wishes to at least 1 close person through India Post.

As part of the Birthday Wishes, we will send the following items

  1. India Post designed & Customized Wish Card
  2. Make in India Village Product or Indian Artisan Product or Khadi Product – to revive the rural economy and national integration.
  3. Story of one Amazing person (random selection) to inspire that individual.

The letter which I sent to India Post Chairman in the Year 2016

==============================================

Hon'ble and Respected Secretary (Posts) and Chairman, PS Board.

CC Members of the Board

This is Dr. Ravi Saripalle. India Post has an amazing history and did a commendable job in establishing strong bondage between People and Aspirations. It is my honor to write to you to establish an innovative initiative called "India Post Wishes" which has huge business opportunities but for a noble cause.

Vision: To establish a society with Peace, Tranquillity, and Harmony and provide sustainable business opportunity to Artisans

Mission: Mission is to build a technology platform for every celebration and every wish. Our Platform develops socio-cultural bondage by exchanging creative works and innovative products, stories of creative artisans, and stories of creative works. India Post facilities the same. It leverages its strong interior network. It creates Wish-Card Movement in history.

How does Technology Platform work: The organization develops India Post Human Tree (using Aadhar Unique ID or equivalent) exclusive for delivering WISHES. Based on individual choice, it delivers WISH Message (India Post Designs), a recommended product, a story of an artisan-made that product, history of the product, etc (based on the intelligence provided by the platform) to the intended person (e.g. B'day, father's day, mother's day, friend's day, to boss marriage day, nephew Bon voyage wishes, etc). It stores the messages connected in the TREE and adds intelligence on its own. It creates HUMAN HEARTS NETWORK and intelligently creates alternative business opportunities based on the preferences, choices people make.

This is going to be a game-changing technology initiative, a star pearl in the string of pearls that India Post has built so far. India Post should create such a wonderful platform with the indigenous brand and make India Post Wishes, a true visionary initiative in history. It should cover all NRIs across the world and connect people wherever they are.

Real-Life 3 Idiots Scene-Amir Khan's (Rancho) 'delivery feat' in '3 Idiots' climax! Physically Challenged Lab Technician (Sunil Prajapathi) Did this in Samparkranti Covid-19 Special Express (Delhi-Jabalpur Train)! Basic Common-sense & Initiative Can Make You a Doctor-in-Emergency! Regular Blade from Shaving Kit, Thread String from a Cotton Shawl became Surgery Toolset! Think Beyond Degree!!

 Dear Friends and Students

Today Times of India published an Amazing Positive Story! The train started in Hazrat Nizamuddin Station in Delhi. The train crossed Faridabad. Sunil Prajapathi opened his lunch box. Few berths away, he heard a woman crying in pain. She accompanied by her brother and minor daughter. She is going to her in-law’s house. She is pregnant. She was not sure, whether the pain is genuine labor pain or due to train jerks. There was no woman passenger in that coach (B3).

Sunil works as a lab technician in a Railway hospital. He alerted Agra and Gwalior station's medical staff for standby support. He again heard a huge screaming. This time blanket was covered with blood. He called TTE and asked for a first aid kit. He called his boss Dr. Suparna Sen, an eye surgeon, and kept her on a video call. She was giving instruction by instruction. Sunil started taking a gynecologist role! We heard of telemedicine. Here he has practically implemented.

One of the passengers is having a fresh shaving blade. Sunil used it to cut the umbilical cord (a tube that connects the mother to the baby during pregnancy). He used a thread from a shawl to execute the complex medical aid. Delivery was successful. Mother and Infant are safe and healthy. There is no stop till Gwalior. However, passengers pulled an alarming chain in Madhura Jn. Railway police admitted her to Madura Hospital to avoid post-delivery complications as the mother had few miscarriage issues in the past.

Look at Sunil Prajapathi. He used basic common sense. He passed BSc. from Sagar University, MA in Public Administration, and LLB from Delhi University! He is physically handicapped! He aspired to become a Civil Servant! But, today he responded beyond Education and Profession!! His father Hiralal is a farmer and has 6 siblings.

Dear Students

Engineering, Medicine, Accountancy, Architecture, Design, etc are a few ways and means to accumulate certain knowledge areas. However, they would not provide us real-life practical exposure during your college unless we create an opportunity to practice! We see movies and get fascinated. But, these real-life examples help us to Think Beyond Degree!!

Do You!

Jai Ho Sunil Prajapathi! Nation Salutes You! Thank You, Times for a Positive Coverage.

Can You Believe Auto Industry Slowed due to Semiconductor Chip Shortage? How An Auto Industry is dependent on Consumer Electronics Companies? The Era of Inter-Connected Business!! How Mechanical Engineering Job is Dependent on ECE/CSE Job? The world is Moving Towards Multi-Disciplinary So as Engineering Education!

 Dear Friends and Students

Strong demand for iPhones, Galaxy Tabs, and PlayStation consoles are impacting Car makers!! Can you believe it? Yes, it is true. The world's biggest carmakers, including Toyota and Volkswagen, have been forced to halt or slow production as there is a global shortage of computer chips! Car parts manufacturers like Bosch and Continental are struggling to keep the demand.

Modern-day cars are equipped with Bluetooth, GPS, Touchscreen, Audio/Video, Seat Adjustment, Air/Fuel Sensors, in-car entertainment, drive and safety systems, etc. Without these features, most of the cars are almost the same with no differentiator. The semiconductor market is taking a 6-9 months lead time to supply the chips.

Mobile manufacturers like Apple are making huge orders and paying better. This is another important reason for affecting the chip market. On top of this, the other reasons are the US ban on China's top chipmaker SMIC, bulk buying by Huawei, general higher production costs, and no flexibility in upward production.

Dear Indian Startups & Engineering Students

Isn’t a big opportunity to enter into the Semiconductor business? Let me share a couple of examples. Why not we make some innovations in this domain- Towards Atmanirbhar Bharat?

IIT-Bombay’s Ankit Mehta, Rahul Singh, and Ashish Bhat started ideaforge (www.ideaforge.co.in/). This start-up received an order for Drones worth 130 Crore for Army! They are specialized in best in class customizable drones for defense and homeland security! They are developing UAV that can fly at all-terrain (up to 15km, >120 fly time, <6.5 kg take-off weight Multiple GPS for redundancy, return home on low battery, Return home on high winds)! They can detect threats and identify risk-prone areas from a remote location. They are also capable of precision agriculture, inspect buildings, bridges, rail lines, and other infrastructure without scaffolding or booms, examine solar farms and detect anomalies with fewer or no personnel, etc.)

Pawan Kumar Chandana and Naga Bharath Daka (Vizag’s Little Angles School and IIT KGP/ Alumni) started Skyroot Aerospace (skyroot.in). It is an Indian private aerospace manufacturer and commercial launch service provider located in Hyderabad. They are developing Rackets (Vikram Series). They already tested Upper Stage Liquid Engine. This is the first of the kind by a Private Player in India. They got 31 crores investment already. They both worked in ISRO for some time. They got inspired by Elon Musk of Space X. These young boys could able to develop 40 high caliber scientists team!

When Frederick W. Smith started FedEx (1971; 50 years ago) everybody raised eye-brows as to how it will succeed when there is Govt. Postal Service. Today, FedEx Express is the world's largest express transportation company, providing fast and reliable delivery to more than 220 countries and territories

We wish Skyroot Aerospace becomes one of the leading private rocket makers in the world. Why not?

How One Quiz Show Triggered Huge Book Revolution in India? What is ACK 2.0 where Film Actor Rana Daggubati took the Share and Future Group Kishore Biyani backed it? Are Millennials Missing Something? Read this!

 Dear Friends and Students

Ramayana Serial by Ramanand Sagar in Doordarshan made India standstill for 78 weeks between 25 January 1987 to 31 July 1988 on Every Sunday at 9:30 AM! Marriages were delayed till the end of the episode! Roads were deserted, Trains, Buses, and Inner-city Trucks would become empty! Created viewership of around 650 million across 55 countries, in spite of just 14 million TV households in 1987! Series had a viewership of 82%, a record high for any Indian television series, reportedly earned DD National ₹ 40 lakh in those days! Today, we have hundreds of TV Channels and millions of YouTube Channels, but can they bring the same fervor?

During the early 1980s, Amar Chitra Katha (ACK) was at its peak with a minimum of two new titles came every month. NRI People used to buy deluxe volumes of Krishna and the Ramayana series to reduce the influence of Superman and Spiderman on their kids.

The Origin of Amar Chitra Katha!

One day, Anant Pai (Uncle Pai, the founder of Amar Chitra Katha) and his wife were visiting Delhi. They came across a TV shop that was broadcasting a quiz show. He noticed a peculiar phenomenon: The participants knew more about Greek mythology than Indian History. This is the triggering point to start ACK! In February 1970, the first-ever Amar Chitra Katha title, Krishna, was printed and it was the huge beginning! The rest is history. It was sold over 86 million / 8.6 crore copies with 440 titles. Amar Chitra Katha 2.0 is now available on YouTube as ACK Alive. Actor Rana Daggubati got a share in this.

Today, Millennials are having access to millions of YouTube Channels across Sports, Food, Entertainment, Health, History & Culture, Geography, and Education! They also have access to unwanted and restricted content! Earlier, there was no concept of privacy as tens of family members together used to watch a particular show. People used to study magazines in common drawing rooms and these magazines were commonly accessed. Today, there are more virtual break rooms than physical break rooms available in organizations. The postcard is the critical means to send a message and is read by every family member. There was no concept of privacy. The irony is recently a teen son filed a case against parents as they destroyed the private hard disk!

As per WashingtonPost.com, On average, American 8-to-12-year-olds spent 4 hours and 44 minutes on screen media each day. And teens spent an average of 7h 22 min per day excluding time spent using screens for school or homework. In 2018, children in the United States spent an average of 10.7 hours watching streaming content on connected TVs per week (www.statista.com). Surprisingly, Indians watch over 5 hours of online video content per day, the highest in the world (www.businesstoday.in, Jun 2020). The lowest average viewing hours are in South Korea, where Samsung is founded!! Surprisingly South Koreans are the lightest users of Whatsapp, Slack, Facebook, WeChat, etc!

These statistics give us a different view. Every student reading this story can reflect and react

Think Big

All Civil Servant / Research as Career Aspirants: Who Can Provide You Utmost Inspiration? It is a Godwit!! Godwit, who is this? Read this Story!

 Dear Friends and Students

One of my mentees is aspiring for UPSC Civil Services and giving his 4th attempt. We cannot see an iota of deviation; distraction and devoid in him. He has been sincerely working hard. The only goal is to crack UPSC. In one of the discussions, I was trying to compare his persistence with an example? After a deep thought, I realized that Godwit is the best match! Who is this Godwit? I feel God wants to witness with an example for perseverance, hence created this creature named “Godwit”.

Recently, Godwit is in the NEWS: “'Jetfighter' godwit breaks world record for non-stop bird flight!” (TheGaurdian). Read this…

Interestingly, this Bar-tailed Godwit flies more than 12,000km from Alaska to New Zealand non-stop for 11 days without any middle stop! Are you surprised or shocked? I am!! It is a new non-stop flight world record for a bird.

It flies up to 55 mph or 88 km/h. I generally drive my car less than 60km/h! I can visualize her speed! Interestingly, it weighs between 190 gm and 400 gm. It can double the size before a long flight but can shrink its internal organs to lighten the load. What a beautiful creation by God? Amazing!

When I read this feature of Godwit, it reminds me of Lord Hanuman! Hanuman has the ability to expand until he could be as large as a mountain or to contract until he could be as small as a fly! When Pavan-Suta entered Lanka, a female-demon named SURASA swallowed him. Hanuman continued expanding his body, while she continued stretching her mouth till it was a hundred leagues wide. At this moment, Hanuman shrank his body and became thumb-sized. He came out through her right ear and tricked her! On another occasion, Hanuman, when caught by Meghanad and his men and produced before Ravan in his royal court for judgment, coiled his tail high enough to be seated on a higher level than the royal throne of Ravan, just to show his prowess and powers of Lord Rama, in comparison.

Coming back to Godwit, the satellite recorded a point-to-point flight of 12,854km with 224 hours’ journey time without break. It is setting a new world record. It started in Alaska on 16th Sep 2020, covering Aleutian Islands, Hawaii, Fiji, all through on the Pacific Ocean, and finally arrived in Auckland (New Zealand) after 11 days late. The previous longest recorded non-stop flight by a bird is 11,680km. It was recorded in 2007. Even birds are competing now a daysJ

Dear Aspirants, these birds give us great inspiration! When they are on the Pacific Ocean for 11 days, you can imagine their psychological conditions! There is No GPS, No Timer, No Clock, No Sleep, continuously flapping their wings, No Highway resting for a break, and cannot get down to eat something! Can you imagine the kind of determination they have? I feel we don’t have an iota of it compared to these birds. Do you agree? When someone aspires for Civil Services or Research as Career, I see them like this. We need to really encourage as they have decided to fly in this form. Only a few can act like this.

Preserve and Serve those few!

Get Inspired

Interesting Post in LinkedIn: I am Inspired! 14+ Backlogs-Disqualified to sit for Campus Placements to This Year GATE 2020 Ranker!!

Dear Friends and Students

Today one of my classmates sent me a message sharing one LinkedIn Profile named “Ribhu Mukherjee”. Initially, I did not believe the post. Later I started scrolling the comments one by one, including the Admission letter from IIT Madras Masters-IDRP Program. I am surprised to see 638 comments, most of them truly inspired by his move. This post received 13,304 Likes as of 9-01-2021 1:49PM!

Regardless of whether the backlog numbers are right or wrong (as we cannot verify and believe what the Individual mentioned in the post), but when I looked at the comments, I personally believed and felt, I need to write this story. I believe LinkedIn still maintains professional standards and it is going through a community monitoring process. Hence, there are fewer chances for inadvertence.

Often, I see many students getting demotivated after a couple of backlogs and changing their career aspirations altogether. But Ribhu’s turn-around story gives us hope and belief.

As per the LinkedIn profile, Ribhu did his BTech in Computer Science in 2020 from Symbiosis Institute of Technology. Germany Experiments 2 Innovative Charging Methods to Make EV Friendly and Sustainable! Read this Story! Ideas on Wheels!

Dear Friends and Students

Electric Cars are gaining traction but the challenges remain. According to the International Energy Agency, by 2030, approx. 30% of all cars are expected to be electric. However, as of today, they represent only 1% to 3% of all passenger cars. The main challenge is charging infrastructure.

As per semiengineering.com,

There are three levels of charging for EV: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.

Level 1: the car is charged by plugging the vehicle into a 120-volt AC home outlet via an on-board charger. On average, this takes 17 hours to charge a car, according to Canaccord Genuity.

Level 2: the vehicle is plugged into a 240-volt power source at home or an outside charging station. This takes 3.5 to 7 hours, according to the firm.

Level 3: It involves a standalone DC fast charging unit based on a 480-volt system. Charge times are faster, but these charging units are not geared for home installation. Instead, consumers must take the vehicle to a standalone charging station, much like taking a car to a gas station.

In US, there are 1,50,000 gas stations compared to 10,000 public EV charging stations. This has to be improved a lot.

To counter this, Germany is inventing new charging methods.

1.      Developed an Inductive charging road for electric vehicles, just a few meters long, set up in Karlsruhe, Germany. The goal is to provide energy for electric vehicles while they are driving. Inductive Charging: It allows the transfer of electrical energy to a vehicle battery via an electromagnetic field. Now they are planning to implement a 100-meter section of road, with 90 meters of dynamic charging and 10 meters of static charging. They did this in Karlsruhe, one of the cities in Germany.

2.      Converting a street light to charging station: German start-up ubitricity offers an alternative to traditional EV stations. It consists of directly integrating a charging point into a street light pole (integrate plugs and sockets directly into the street lamps). It uses existing street furniture. It is accessible via QR Code. Ubitricity also plans on installing 200,000 charging stations throughout Europe by 2025.

Now World of EVs is becoming more promising, Green, and futuristic! It generates a huge number of opportunities as 30% of all cars are expected to be electric by 2030!!

Finally, HOPE Fulfilled! Great Relief to Siddhant Batra, who lost IIT Bombay Seat due to an Inadvertent Click on a wrong Link! But, Happy Ending! Please read this story and life lesson for 18-year-old students!

 Dear Friends and Students

Every year many bright and deserved students lose seats at various premium institutions or job loss due to various reasons, genuine or petty or gross (Last Minute Arrival or Health issues or Financial Issues or Awareness Issues, etc.). They are not highlighted much or become limelight as there is no persistency in the recovery efforts! However, Siddhant’s case is different!

Just to recap, Siddhant Batra, got 270 rank in IIT JEE, joined IIT Bombay, and opted for EEE. A couple of years back, Batra lost his single mother, scored 96% in CBSE I2th. 18-year-old Siddhant Batra mistakenly clicked the 'withdraw' link from the online admission process and lost his seat in IIT Bombay. Batra had initially approached Bombay High Court but IIT-Bombay refused to admit Batra’s action to be a mistake. Then, Batra applied to the Supreme Court.

We need to profusely thank Supreme Court for its timely and swift judgment in restoring the seat without any loss to the academic year! This is what termed as “HOPE FULFILLED”!

This reminds me of the story, Power of Determination: Read this story as-is from the blog: “A Sparrow laid her eggs on the shore of the ocean, but the big ocean carried away the eggs on its waves. Sparrow got seriously upset and asked the ocean to return her eggs. Ocean did not consider her appeal. So the sparrow decided to dry up the ocean. She began to pick out the water in her small beak, and everyone laughed at her for her impossible determination. The news of her activity spread, and at last Garuda, the gigantic bird carrier of Lord Vishnu heard it. He became compassionate towards his small sister bird, and so he came to see the sparrow. Garuda was very pleased by the determination of the small sparrow, and he promised to help. Thus Garuda at once asked the ocean to return her eggs lest he himself take up the work of the sparrow. The ocean was frightened at this and returned the eggs. Thus the sparrow became happy by the grace of Garuda”. (ultimate-self-realization.blogspot.com)

Here, I am not comparing who is Sparrow, Ocean, or Garuda. Please understand the subtle aspect of the HOPE in this story. If we do something from Heart, someone (if you believe, it could be God else some supernatural power) definitely hears and responds. I had this experience multiple times in my life. I am sure you might have experienced this.

Dr. Ivan Misner says Hope is more powerful than fear. Hope contains faith, patience, and waiting. It might hurt or make us happy but it is the most powerful weapon.

Dear Siddhant Batra

Congratulations on getting 270 All India JEE Rank! It is an amazing achievement. I am really appreciating your tenacity. By this age, you have experienced major learnings both from personal and professional life. These issues are not ordinary obstacles in your life but they are big life lessons. You Mastered Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Life! 4 subjects in 2 years’ time!

You became most experienced at the age of 18 years old whereas your friends/students of this age are still struggling to understand basic life and minimum responsibilities. In spite of your personal loss in the last 2 years, still you made it this high, which shows how deterministic you are in your life goals.

Keep Going, Keep Hoping, Keep Consolidating! Best wishes to You Siddhant.

Are Indian Engineers and Scientists Slowly Transitioning from Fuzzy Mind-set to Predicate Mind-set? Let’s invest & Build our Home-grown Confidence! Covaxin is First Indian Vaccine! Please read this interesting Perspective!

 Dear Friends and Students

This is a debatable and interesting context. These are my personal views. Yesterday Govt. approved India's Home-grown Coronavirus Vaccine, called Covaxin, developed by Bharat Biotech! First, I am happy and proud that we are not less than any other world’s leading Corona vaccine providers.

There are a lot of eyebrows frown with this early & emergency approval! Why? What is wrong? Why not promote and encourage our invention! Confidence is the Investment, right? If we discount our own product, who is going to invest in our capability. It is not developed by a startup, who made their first production, right? It is developed by a 24 years old vaccine manufacturer, having a portfolio of 16 vaccines and exporting to more than 123 countries. Bharat Biotech has a track record of clinical trials in 20 countries and involved more than 7,00,000 volunteers (bbc.com). Is it not a sufficient qualification?

Traditionally Indians were a Fuzzy mindset (problem-solving approach-degree of truth can range anywhere between 0 and 1. Our thinking used to be deep-rooted)! If you see our history, we contributed to many ideas but we never converted them to commercialize products and made money. We documented but never patented as our interest was more towards the free distribution of knowledge (e.g. Vedic scriptures, Samhitas, Upanishads, Ayurveda, Yoga, Aranyakas, etc ).

West is having a predicate mindset (logic: statement is either true (1) or false (0))). This is needed for making product decisions/ marketing, ideas converted to product and commercialization. Hence, they are more successful in commercializing ideas and economy-boosting.

Having said that, over a period, the west became a settled mindset due to laws of abundance whereas Indians started adapting a growth mindset as we are driven by laws of scarcity. In the process, we realized that we need to transition from a Fuzzy Mindset to a Predicate mindset. Slowly, Atmanirbhar Bharat is picking up and pushing our entrepreneurs to develop western equal or better products in the market. Please look at Covaxin from that perspective and promote the products by keeping some confidence in our products.

When there is a huge flood and you need to be rescued, we need to believe someone with huge experience in swimming and give our hand. We should not suspect and ask for a resume, else we will be washed out in the flood.

Dear Dr. Krishna Ella

We appreciate your confidence and commitment. We are proud of you. We are proud of a few of your milestones

Bharat Biotech has acquired Chiron Behring from GSK in March 2019 to become the largest rabies shot producer, Bharat Biotech hits the landmark figure of 100 million doses supply of Rotavac (2019), WHO prequalifies TYPBAR-TCV and ROTAVAC vaccines (2018), TYPBAR-TCV demonstrates 87% efficacy in the world’s first Typhoid Human Challenge study carried out at Oxford University (2017), Bharat Biotech becomes the first company in the world to file a global patent for Zika vaccine (2016), Launches HNVAC® – India’s first cell culture-based H1N1 (Human Inactivated Influenza A virus) Swine flu Vaccine (2010).

We wish you many more achievements in your journey.

Are we losing Grip / Relevance of GI (Geographical Indication) Tags? Is it Time to Revive and Consciously Develop More Tags? The origin of Rasagola is now tagged to Odisha!!

 Dear Friends and Students

A geographical indication or GI is a sign used on products that have a specific geographical origin and possess qualities or a reputation that are due to that origin (Hindu.com). Let me share a few examples- Tirupati Laddu,, Bobbili Veena, Kondapalli Toys, Venkatagiri Sari, Darjeeling tea, Madhubani paintings, Jaipur blue pottery, Mysore Silk, etc. In India, Karnataka has 47, Tamil Nadu (39), Kerala (22+), UP (21+), Odisha (15+), AP (14+),etc

How Powerful this Tag? For e.g., the exported tea from India fetching close to Rs. 45,000 once as it is labeled as ‘Darjeeling tea’! (www.thedollarbusiness.com). That is the power of GI Tag!

Having said, we need to consciously identify, promote, and materialize business using these GI Tags. Today IP Education is given widely in colleges. However, art and culture lie in many untapped locations/communities. There should be a massive exploration to identify all unknown tags in our rural and tribal locations.

Prof. Anil Gupta, a former professor at IIMB and Founder of SRISTI organizes Shodh Yatras to cull out grassroots innovations, art, and culture. Similarly, we should have GI Shodh Yatras to give visibility to some of the unexplored GIs in India. We also need to create a market ecosystem for these communities so that they preserve for generations.

Here I want to mention one specific case-study where this food item is claimed by two Indian states for a long time: It is “Rasagola”( soft to feel, juicy and non-chewy). This is claimed by West Bengal and Odisha. Finally, after a lot of deliberations, Odisha won the case (www.livemint.com). This mouth-watering culinary delight made of cottage cheese is offered to Lord Jagannath as part of bhog for centuries! How this claim was secured: Read this statement in Hindu “on December 14, 1893, a poem titled, ‘Bali Jatra’ was published in the weekly “Indradhanu” written by poet Damodar Pattanayak. The poem was an eye‐witness of Cuttack’s famous, historic fair, Bali Jatra (Journey to Bali Island of Indonesia), and mentioned that sweets shops were looking attractive in presence of Rasagola and other sweets.”

If we closely observe and read our scriptures/history, there are much more GIs hidden.

Do you remember any? We must be creating or preparing or making for centuries but did not tag them. Let’s us all protect our culture and its offshoots in the form of GI Tags.

Don’t hesitate to promote GI if you are part of any such tagged products.

Raise Head

Amazing Advancement in Medical Infrastructure: Game-Changing Transformation: Telemedicine to Telementoring to Telesurgery (Robotic Tele-Microsurgery)! Thanks to the 5G network! The confluence of Electronics, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Medicine! Future is here!!

Dear Friends and Students

This year we introduced 3 new emerging courses in our institution – Artificial Intelligence-Machine Learning, Data Science, and Robotics. We are receiving numerous calls on how these courses are different as a regular CSE/IT student can also do AI-ML application or regular Mechanical Engineer can also develop basic robot using their mechanical knowledge. Honestly, I was not able to convince parents with regular examples. However, this particular example really gave me enough confidence in how a student should visualize his/her career in these emerging areas! Read this story.

A doctor (Otorhinolaryngology-head and neck doctor) in Itali (Milan) used robotic technology over a 5G network to operate a dead body that is 9 miles away. You know what, the low latency and high bandwidth of 5G allowed the surgeon to operate as if he were in the operating room with the patient (www.courthousenews.com/). How does it help? A doctor can be anywhere; the patient can be anywhere. The best procedure can be offered at a low cost.

Though this kind of process started in 2001 in New York, due to the limited availability of surgical robots in a combination with the 5G network, this application could not kick-off for the last 20 years. Now Robotics is emerging. 5G network is a reality. Anything possible in this deadly combination!

You know if this gets materialized, as per estimates, by 2035, it would impact the economy up to $3.5 trillion and it might create 22 million jobs!!

In 5G telementoring, the remote doctor is guided by another expert doctor and performs the operation. In 5G telesurgery, the remote doctor himself/herself can operate on the patient using a surgical robotic system and appropriate teleoperation interfaces. AI+ Robotic Assistance+ 5G is going to create a revolution in medical or any similar tele-situations!

Surgeon Side Equipment: Tablet Device, Omega Haptic Device (mechanical devices that mediate communication between the user and the computer), 3D display

Network used between Surgeon and Patient: 5G network

Patient Side Equipment: Laser Arm, Franka Emika (a Cobot (collaborative Robot), agile as a human arm with a human touch sense, a completely smart interactive solution, easy to set up and intuitive to use), VITOM® 3D (3D Visualization for Microsurgery and Open Surgery), Forceps in this throat operation case (Medical tool that resembles large salad tongs), Laryngoscopy (to treat some problems in the vocal cords or throat).

This kind of technology forces doctors to learn robotics as an elective during their MBBS. Else, doctors miss opportunities as the best doctor in Romania can Operate on Patients in Hyderabad. Wrong usage or wrong application during runtime creates havoc. Hence, they must learn techniques for survival.

A London surgeon recently did a remote operation in California via a 5G connection. But, what was operated on? Not a human or an animal, but a banana. We are Proud of You Siddhartha and Dhawal (Pravaig Dynamics)! Tesla is Great! Pravaig is our Pride! Indian Tesla. Your Caption: Take back control. But really You are taking back the Control!

 Dear Siddhartha Bagri

CC to all Friends and Students of my Network (Inspire to Innovate Storytelling Movement)

The world talks about Elon Musk of Tesla, expediting sustainable transport and energy, through electric vehicles and solar power!

During our Goal Setting workshops to the students, we hear many students dream to become like Elon Musk and Start a Tesla type of startup! Immediately, we encourage them with the word “Excellent”, “Great”, “WoW”, “Amazing”, “Inspiring”, etc! But, back of my mind, heart & thought, “Can’t we have one Indian Elon Musk and One Indian Tesla?” Is this going to remain a Dream?

Today, I am going to add a few more words to my dictionary and can use them in my sessions- “Proud”, “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, “India Too”.

Simply, we are proud of You and Dhawal Khullar! What an Amazing Concept Car (Extinction MKI Luxury Electric Car) you guys have designed! (504 km on a single charge, powered by a 96 kWh lithium-ion battery, the output of 200 brake horsepower (bhp) with a top speed of 196 kmph, accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds, battery charge from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes, the lifecycle of the battery is about 10 lakh km, adoption of 3D Printing). Tesla Model Y Long Range has a battery range of a little over 508 km! You are giving the best competition.

I could see the confidence while the battery was tested! I was getting goosebumps when the user was standing on the battery, and an explosion was created and no harm to the user (Explosions were promised Video)(https://www.facebook.com/pravaig/videos/235060434676361)! Your team and partners might have kept blood and tears in making this happen! We also read that you made an efficient cooling system, which manages a car even after long-distance drives and overwork!

90% of the Car is made in India, with few components from Japan. This brings a lot of nostalgia to us! Your statement to Better India, “Two billion fossil fuel-driven cars that need to be replaced with EVs in the next 10-15 years”! Oh my God! What an Opportunity for Efficient EV players like you!

I liked your business model- you would not sell cars to the customers directly rather to fleet operators with a focus on public transport and shared mobility! This is a game-changer. You would get complete control on initial teething issues, maintenance, and operating procedures in Indian style and structure esp. charging stations management. This is a good decision for you. You are also promising ride cost reduction by 30-40% which will be appreciated by the customers.

Your concept of Office on Wheels is simply amazing – Space for a 15-inch laptop, power ports, and two USB ports, what a luxury added in the car.

Your marketing strategy is world-class- I have been following your marketing statements- Few listed here for my readers. “How you are inducing surprise among communities: -Emerged from stealth mode, the future is here, Reflection on existence. Dystopia is real, Umbilical cord, Evolution until Extinction, The end of a Biome. Time to enter reality, Mobility as a Service. Car Ownership Era is over, Reveal for Diwali. Belligerence starts in 2021! Future is not blurred anymore, Delhi - Jaipur. Back and forth. In one charge. Follow, Reflection is the pillar of creation, Defy and Disown”!!

Finally, I liked this statement: “I will have 2499 siblings”- Your strategy to produce only 2500 cars! I am assuming per year.

I wish young aspiring & budding entrepreneurs and students take inspiration from you, start walking in your footsteps and make our heads rise!

Wish you all the best for your Diwali Launch!! Thank you for accepting my LinkedIn

Surprising Phenomenon: Book Sales Increased when the Whole World is Embracing Virtual!

 Dear Friends and Students

Interesting! Samsung Electronics is a South Korean company and the most trusted brand. It holds 1St Rank in the Top 10 Best Mobile Phone Brands in the World with 31.38% Global Market Share (as of 2019). On the other side, Kyobo Book Centre, the largest bookstore chain in Korea, witnessed a 7.3 percent increased in sales between Jan. 1 and Dec. 6 2020 compared to the previous year. YES24 (major online bookstore) saw 23 percent book sales increase for the last year.

As per Publisheresweekly.com, Unit sales of print books were up 6.4% in the first nine months of 2020. My First Learn-to-Write Workbook by Crystal Radke, sold almost 595,000 copies. Robin Diangelo’s White Fragility sold more than 777,000 copies. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins sold close to 1.1 million copies.

Bloomsbury had predicted that its print revenues could fall up to 75% due to coronavirus, but print sales actually rose by 9%. Harry Potter publisher Bloomsbury reported a 28% growth in consumer sales in the four months ending in June 2020 (www.theguardian.com). The U.S. print book market is up 5.5% over the same time period in 2019 (www.npd.com)

Looking into these statistics, I personally feel, if sweet is kept in the dessert course, people relish the lunch. If sweet becomes the lunch, people reject it. Virtual is Sweet and Book is Lunch! This fact is driving towards blended mode.

Once Covid's situation gets normal, people go back to physical-virtual mode. End of the day, Education cannot be taught completely online. Students need to engage in discussions, have social interactions, and better communicate among groups. This makes a complete education. This is not possible in total virtual mode.

Katrina Mayer (writer) says a book is a magical thing that lets you travel to far-away places without ever leaving your chair! Yes, it is true. The same is not possible with smart device reading. Reading on paper may boost retention. Paper suits readers with sleep problems and eye strain.

Reading is a conversation. All books talk but a good book listens as well (Mark Haddon).

Did you experience this?
