What We Perceived as Short Distance is NOT Real Short Distance! This Real Life Example Teaches us Life Lessons!! Read this Interesting Parallel!!

Dear Friends and Students

Today I received a thought provoking LinkedIn Message from Yeseswini, one of our Alumni (CSE 2013-17 batch), currently working with TCS. Look at the above picture.

My Question to you. What is the shortest path between New York and Moscow in the above picture? Is it straight-line or curved path?

Our basic common-sense tells straight-line right? Even, our mathematics teachers teach us the same right. As per the Euclidean geometry, the shortest distance between any two points is always a straight line.

But, surprisingly It is wrong in this special case!! The shortest distance between New York to Moscow is NOT Straight-line but CURVED LINE as showed in the above picture.

Euclidean geometry shortest distance theory (straight-line) works only for flat surface (2D)! But remember, EARTH is NOT Flat! This is explained by Riemannian geometry.

Flights takes these curvatures rather straight-line to reach destination in a shortest distance!

Why this post is intriguing me because couple of weeks back I was working an ambitious thought and devising plans to implement that in future. Few incidents took place in between and made me to drop the project.

I see parallel between these two. We plan something but plan get changed totally without our intervention.

However, there is a grace point here. Riemannian geometry teaches us the philosophy as well. Who knows our plan might be the perceived shortest distance (straight-line showed in the above picture, actually long but perceived short by naked eye) and God’s plan might be the curved distance (curvature showed in the above picture, actually short but perceived longer by naked eye).

Lot of people give positive quotes and motivational lectures. They may help us to get inspired in life. However, if there is no cooperation from GOD, your plans have no significance and never reach destination. This is THE fact. However, we need to move on, continue with our efforts!

EARTH is NOT FLAT, so as Perceived Short Distance is NOT Real Short Distance

*No HD Analog Technology Surveillance Cameras, No Secret Police System, No alarms, No Window Sensors, No Deadbolts, No Automatic Porch Lights, No Weapons, No Peepholes, In fact No Doors at all!! It is all The Power of Faith! Read this, “How Indian Faith System is a Super Cop!”*

Dear Friends and Students

We all know about a village without doors, only door frames! Before knowing about that village and how it is possible, lets us look at a few statistics.

As per Statista, the total number of reported theft cases in India from 2005 to 2019, is 49.47 Lakhs. Of course, we are not counting unreported thefts!

However, can you imagine a place on the Earth where shops, houses, and temples do not have doors but only door frames! Can You imagine a lockless Bank? Bank do not have a police protection too!! Cab drivers brining passengers to this village won’t lock their car doors though passengers leave valuables inside the cab!!

How it is possible when the whole world is immersed in the power of fear and sense of insecurity!? This is called Power of Faith! No system or weapon can save this world so effectively but Power of Faith can save this world with zero budget.

This village is called as Shani Shingnapur, 35 km from Ahmednagar of Maharastra. It is total 82.36 km2 area amd the village is known for its popular temple of Shani, the Hindu demigod associated with the planet Saturn. The villagers believe that God Shani punishes anyone attempting theft. This simple belief is saving this village from hundreds of years!! This is no roof and open sky temple.

In the history, there has not been a single incident of theft, riots, murder or rape (except 2 incidents in 2010/2011). It is believed that nobody from the village has ever gone to a Old Age Home! On average, there are 30000 to 45000 visitors visit the temple. On Amāvásyā (the no moon day), this number goes to three lakh, but managed without police protection.

This place still uses Bulls to extract juice from sugar cane, instead machines. This way bulls are properly engaged and saved.

Dear Friends, Corona Pandemic has shaken the faith system in the society. We should not make it happen. If so, consequences are costly. Fear becomes irrational and overruns us when trust is absent. Fear keeps you from moving forward and from doing the will of God. Unbelief can cause fear to take hold of our lives and emotions. Faith is an antidote for Fear!

Wish we have many more Shingnapurs across the world where systems are totally run by God.

Appeal to Vice-Chancellors, Founders, and Leaders of Higher Education Institutions

Dear Leaders of Higher Education Institutions

Greetings!

I would like to take a few minutes of your valuable time. This is in the context of HEIs Vision Accomplishment beyond Education, Engagement and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

How HEIs Philosophy can be further Blossomed?

In the new age of learning, Higher Education Institutes are no more for Teaching, to be Designed for Inspiring! The Future Institutions are meant to create a “Mindset”, not a ‘Group of Teachers’, ‘a Tool Kit’ nor a ‘Technology’.

Many HEIs are already providing seamless access to excellent teaching, infrastructure, eco-system, and learning culture. At the same time, in this digital age, Students have access to online learning resources from the world class faculty, digital infrastructure including simulated space for individual/like-minded team driven research and skill development, co-working space and co-founding experience from anywhere, anyplace and anytime.

Today, every resource and cultural experience which HEIs have developed and provided to the students over a period of time, is available outside the campus, on-click, if not in 360-degree perspective, but in fragmented view! Within No-Time, these opportunities are going to be anytime and anywhere.

What is one FACTOR that the Digital Infrastructure in isolation can never transform student?

The True Answer is Inspiration! Inspired to Learn.

How do we accomplish?

· Inspire through Storytelling. Imagine through Design Thinking.

· These are the two tools systematically offered to every student for a period of 1 year and beyond.

· Inspired and Imagined student gets ready for mentoring!

· They are offered 3 paths- Heads-On, Hands-On and Hearts-On.

· Students get access to their choice of path, mentoring, resources for a period of 1 year and beyond

· Students vet their path for another one year before finalizing their career!

· This process is promising and sustainable.

· This process is complementary to the existing academic and skill-development programs

How I can help HEIs?

I am happy to help incubating this process in HEIs as needed by the University/Institution and according to the norms, without touching the existing process. Please find attached broad thought process below.
