Do You Agree for "Time Bank" Concept, or more specifically "Service Bank" Concept in India? Would You like to Promote this idea?: Time bank is a reciprocity-based work trading system in which hours become the currency. You have certain skill and you render some service to particular community and bank those hours. In response, you will get another service (skill) for the same equal hours which you banked without paid or being paid! What a wonderful concept designed by Prof Edgar Cahn, an American professor of Law in 1980. Today it is the need of hour, especially to the aged people. During their young age, they can do some service, account those hours in a bank and in return, they will receive equivalent service (hours) when they really need it (during sick, old age etc). We need to design this program effectively with the help of Government. This concept promotes social justice, equality, harmony and peace in the society. Hope you all agree with me. Looking forward to see some of you start this Service Bank in your respective communities/ /locations. To more about Time bank, please do visit https://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/time-bank.

Maharashtra makes it Compulsory to Use Plastic Waste to Lay Roads           : This is the need of hour as plastic waste is becoming big menace to the environment. Government is making all steps to use plastic waste for the construction and repair of bituminous/ asphalt roads. Infact it has been proved that plastic-asphalt tar gives more longevity, better water-resistance and less maintenance when compared to conventional materials. India produces about  25,940 tonnes of plastic waste every day. Fifty per cent of plastic waste is single-use. Generally 1 tonne plastic is used per kilometre. If we can improvise this technology, all roads can be built using plastic-asphalt combination. Though it is currently little costlier than conventional roads, but still it gives lot of advantages.     To read more, please visit https://www.thebetterindia.com/147071/maharashtra-compulsory-plastic-waste-road-construction-pwd/https://www.indiatimes.com/news/india/delhi-is-the-largest-contributor-to-india-s-25-940-tonnes-of-plastic-waste-every-day-and-govt-is-just-sitting-idle-340186.html

Sanivation, a social enterprise is transforming human waste into a clean, affordable fuel in Kenya: Andrew Foote, Founder of Sanivation, transforming fuel industry in Kenya. This company collects human waste from all householders and processes it using a solar thermal technology. They have pending patent for this. After that they convert it to charcoal-like briquettes which can be used in cooking and domestic heating. The interesting environmental innovation in this case is, these briquettes contain lower-carbon and becomes long-lasting alternative to charcoal. They produce 1/3 of the carbon emissions of conventional briquettes. Interesting alternative right? This company produced more than 70,000 tonnes of briquettes which approximately saving more than 6,000 trees. It is also potentially averting diarrhoea. Kenya's charcoal market is worth of $1.4bn. Foote is tapping this market. Thank you Foote for establishing transformative energy enterprise. Thank you Positive News for publishing this inspiring enterprise's story. IIT Roorkee students develop inflatable helmet like airbag:  It is an interesting innovation again by IIT Rookee students! This helmet can open up in less than 100 milliseconds of impact! Marvelous product right? This has been developed by 3 BTech students. It is made of Kevlar, a synthetic fibre generally used to make bullet-proof jackets. They are cheap compared to international helmets (Rs2000-3,000 compared to overseas that cost between $300-600). The traditional helmets safeguard only skull fractures but this can also protect from internal brain bleeding. It can absorb peak crash acceleration (kinetic energy absorbed and slowly releases it) upto 4 times. Great Job Team. Wish you all the best. Thank you HT for publishing such an inspiring innovation.
