Dear Friends and Students
Today Times of India published an Amazing Positive Story! The train started in Hazrat Nizamuddin Station in Delhi. The train crossed Faridabad. Sunil Prajapathi opened his lunch box. Few berths away, he heard a woman crying in pain. She accompanied by her brother and minor daughter. She is going to her in-law’s house. She is pregnant. She was not sure, whether the pain is genuine labor pain or due to train jerks. There was no woman passenger in that coach (B3).
Sunil works as a lab technician in a Railway hospital. He alerted Agra and Gwalior station's medical staff for standby support. He again heard a huge screaming. This time blanket was covered with blood. He called TTE and asked for a first aid kit. He called his boss Dr. Suparna Sen, an eye surgeon, and kept her on a video call. She was giving instruction by instruction. Sunil started taking a gynecologist role! We heard of telemedicine. Here he has practically implemented.
One of the passengers is having a fresh shaving blade. Sunil used it to cut the umbilical cord (a tube that connects the mother to the baby during pregnancy). He used a thread from a shawl to execute the complex medical aid. Delivery was successful. Mother and Infant are safe and healthy. There is no stop till Gwalior. However, passengers pulled an alarming chain in Madhura Jn. Railway police admitted her to Madura Hospital to avoid post-delivery complications as the mother had few miscarriage issues in the past.
Look at Sunil Prajapathi. He used basic common sense. He passed BSc. from Sagar University, MA in Public Administration, and LLB from Delhi University! He is physically handicapped! He aspired to become a Civil Servant! But, today he responded beyond Education and Profession!! His father Hiralal is a farmer and has 6 siblings.
Dear Students
Engineering, Medicine, Accountancy, Architecture, Design, etc are a few ways and means to accumulate certain knowledge areas. However, they would not provide us real-life practical exposure during your college unless we create an opportunity to practice! We see movies and get fascinated. But, these real-life examples help us to Think Beyond Degree!!
Do You!
Jai Ho Sunil Prajapathi! Nation Salutes You! Thank You, Times for a Positive Coverage.
Your well-wisher
Ravi Saripalle
