Dear Students, Professional and Faculty Friends

Hope you are keeping safe and healthy. While immunity is paramount during these covid times, Employability is equally critical to surviving in these tough, economically stressed times. A couple of days back, a student called me and said he is appearing for an IT job interview and the company is working on blockchain technology. He requested me to explain the concept at a high level to smoothly manage the interview process.

Today blockchain is beyond emerging technology. Understanding blockchain technology is beyond financial/cryptocurrency literacy. Blockchain is used in many other domains like healthcare, real estate, Real-time IoT systems, Supply chain and Logistics (e.g., Foodchain/farm to plate tracking), Smart contracts, Energy or Water Trading, etc.

Keeping the importance of this understanding to all sorts of age groups working in all domains, I made a humble attempt to explain this concept. Please do watch this video.
