3D Printed Electric Car in 3 Days for 5 Lakjhs!- XEV (An Italian startup) in collaboration with Polymaker, ( 3-D printing material developer)  developed a car using 3D printing. It is now ready for mass production. It is as low as USD 7,500 (Rs 4.87 lakh)!! Amazing right! It is not just car alone. This will create trend for multitude of objects. Liu Yachao, Chinese Mathematics Teacher became Billionaire through Tutoring!- TAL Education (a leading China based after-school tutoring company) Group Chief Operating Officer,  Liu Yachao, became a billionaire! Interesting right! True. When we are passionate and committed to one particular domain, yes, money is by-product. He is second billionaire in this firm! 36 years old teacher is the first mathematics teacher joined Tal Education and rose to this level. Dr. Liu received his bachelor’s degree in mechanics from Peking University (2003) and Ph.D from the institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Science in 2008. Initially he joined as director of middle school division in in 2005, became in charge of online courses in 2008, and later became director & senior vice president and also handled teaching and research division. Hyderabad based startup, Uravu, is on mission to produce clean water from air!- Water is scarce. To beat this problem, Uravu, a Hyderabad based startup is working on technology to convert atmospheric moisture into potable water. They are developing this for residential purpose. Swapnil Shrivastav, along with other 5 co-founders, developing proprietary water-absorbing material which absorbs vapour from the air, uses solar thermal energy to convert it into water. This process starts in the night and by next evening, you will have water. The current prototype is producing ~ 50 liters of water a day. They are working to raise it to 2,000 liters a day. They are trying to fit into Re 1 per liter cost model. Low cost, voice-controlled wheelchair by NSS College of Engineering in Palakkad, Kerala Students: Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) students of NSS College of Engineering developed low cost (budget of ₹8,000) voice controlled wheelchair. Current model allows 75Kg of weight. They are still improvising this model. Good job team. Innovate or Perish is the mantra of the day. Your team qualifies for former! Facial recognition system helped to trace 3,000 missing children in 4 days in Delhi!- Delhi police used facial recognition system (FRS) software to identify 3000 missing children in 4 days! Thanks to image processing technology, these children are potential to reunite with their families. So happy moment right! Sometimes technology brings back love and affection. The Ministry of Women and Child Development ran this software on 45,000 children and 2,930 children could be recognized! This software matches with photographs and database available with the Track Child portal, resulting identity of the child established. I wish you should be either Performer (your score should be between 40-50) or Challenger (your score should be between 25-40). You should not give any scope to be  Lounger (relaxed) with 10-25 score or Laggard (slower than desired) with score less than 10.
