Letter to Student Series : Volume 2 Issue 11

My Dear Student Friends,

Greetings!

This is Dr. Ravi Saripalle, Founder, Inspire to Innovate (i2i) Storytelling Movement. Welcome to “Letter to Student Series- Volume 2 and Issue 11. Hope you enjoyed reading my previous letter (they are available at http://i2itm.blogspot.in/). The goal of these letters is to inspire students across the country and make them Future Ready / Industry Ready.

I would like to dedicate this letter to all young achievers. I wish you would also join this club. Do you? Please do visit http://goldenbookofrecords.com/tag/young-achievers/. I took data from this website to write this letter.

As you all aware that Surya Namaskarams improves our blood circulation, reduces wrinkles and make our skin look ageless and radiant. It also helps in digestive system. Having said that, this practice and performance is always ardent task. It requires lot of internal maturity and persistent efforts from individual side. Generally people think that it is meant for aged people. But it is not. To offset this misconception, 14 years old Master Harshram from Nalanda, Bihar, performed One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty (1250) sets of Suryanamaskar yoga on International Yoga Day organized by Patanjali Yog Samiti. It became World Record of performing ‘largest set of Suryanamaskar yoga’. Congratulations Harshram. I wish many more young children get inspired, join yoga clubs and improve kinesthetic intelligence.

Musical intelligence is an another form of intelligence. Composing music is not an easy task. You need to define title, question yourself with different questions related to title, develop song structure, find melody etc. I am not expert in the process but I know it is great work and definitely not an ordinary work. When it is done by 10 years old, it is much more appreciable. Baby Pranjali Sinha, Bangalore, Karnataka created a world record of youngest music composer, by releasing Music album of Pranjali ‘Mere Sapne’ on Feb 09, 2017. She has been doing tunes right since August 2015. Best wishes Pranjali.

Literary intelligence is another form of intelligence. It requires skills needed for reading and writing. You need to understand sounds of language, the relationship between letters and sounds,  vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension etc. Infact poetry writing is an adventure itself for many scholars and learned. What if, 9 years old boy writing a novel, poetry, articles and biographies! It is not an ordinary fete. Do you agree?  Master Mrigendra Raj, Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, wrote one novel, one poetry book, one article book and nine biographies! Raj achieved World Record of ‘youngest multidimensional writer. Congratulations Raj. Wish you many more successes in your future.

People with Naturalistic Intelligence concern about nature, behavior of various animals, plants and protozoa, colony species like ants, hyenas etc. They have high sensitivity and appreciation for nature. God has gifted them with the ability to care for and interact with animals. These people have ability to observe, understand and organize patterns in the natural environment. They develop expertise in identifying and classification of plants and animals. 9 year old, Master Carlos Pérez Naval from Spain created world record of youngest wild-life photographer. His photography has been recognized by National History Museum. He spent many hours to get this expertise.

Spatial intelligence is an ability to comprehend three-dimensional images and shapes. It is the primary function of the right side of the brain. People with this intelligence can mentally manipulate 2-dimensional, 3-dimensional and 4-dimensional figures very easily. It is often referred as visual thinking. Improving spatial intelligence helps in development of memory, cognitive ability and thinking. Recently 17 years old Ms. Damini Sen from Maa Banjari Gurukul Vidyalaya, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, created world record of largest number of drawings made by toes in one hour. This is amazing fete on toes! On Feb 9, 2015, she made Thirty Eight (38) drawings by toes in one hour. Congratulations Damini. Similarly, on June 27, 2014, 12 years old, Bhavyangana of Choithram School, Manik Bagh from Indore, Madhya Pradesh drew Six (6) colorful pictures of flowers in a minute. She received World Record of most pictures drawn in a minute.

Math-Logical Intelligence is connected to deductive reasoning, detecting patterns, and logical thinking. People with this intelligence are good in scientific investigations. They can easily understand the complex and abstract. They have capacity to work with numbers and to reason well. They can easily create logical patterns or relationships, efficiently categorize, classify, and calculate information and data. On February 25, 2014, 8 Years old Balivada Vishal Patnaik from Kasibugga, Palasa Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, received world record of memorizing and recalling of ten thousand years calendar. Balivada can recall dates from year 01 to year 10,000. Good Luck Balivada in your future endeavors. Similarly, Mr. Himmat Bhardwaj from Gurgaon, Haryana, created world record of memorizing and recalling the square roots from 1 to 100. He can recall the square roots of 1 to 100 up-to 10 decimal places. On July 18, 2013 Mr. Bhardwaj demonstrated 10 recalling in a minute.

Verbal intelligence is the ability to analyze information and solve problems using language-based reasoning. Language-based reasoning is connected to reading or listening to words, conversing, writing, or even thinking. Verbal ability is a important component of various international entrance examinations. It has various tests on word power, analogies, sentence correction and verbal reasoning. 15-years old Shreya Vardhan from Delhi created world record of scoring 100% marks in SAT & TOEFL. Shreya of Delhi Public School, RK Puram, has scored full marks (2400) in SAT test, TOEFL test and Advanced Placement tests. Congratulations Shreya.

Linguistic Intelligence is deals with individual's ability to understand spoken and written language, as well as their ability to speak and write various languages. 16 year old Timothy Doner, New York, US, can speak 23 languages. He created world record of speaking maximum languages at teen age. He can speak French, Latin, Ancient Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, Hebrew, Farso, Pashto, Indonesian, Russian, German, Turkish Wolof, Hindi and Swahili etc. Congratulations Timothy. Great effort, God's Gift!

Spiritual Intelligence is the higher dimension of intelligence connected to the qualities and capabilities of the self (or soul), in the form of wisdom, compassion, integrity, joy, love, creativity, and peace (https://sqi.co/definition-of-spiritual-intelligence/). Bhakt Prahlad (small boy) was a ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu. His unflinching love towards God made him fearless and could easily face the atrocities acted upon him by his own father due to his firm belief in Lord Vishnu.
